A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. It remembers information between pages or between visits — which language you prefer, or whether you have already answered a notice. A cookie cannot read your computer’s hard drive and cannot identify you on its own.

Depending on who sets them, cookies are first-party (set by this site) or third-party (set by another domain). Depending on how long they last, they are session cookies (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent cookies (they last until they expire or you delete them).

Your choice is not kept in a cookie but in your browser’s local storage (localStorage). It is never sent to any server: only this website reads it, on your own device.

Until you accept, not one line of Google code is downloaded. This is not Analytics loaded with storage denied: nothing at all is requested from Google, because any request to a third party carries your IP address with it.

The contact form uses no third-party service. It is an ordinary HTML form submitted to our own server; spam is handled with an invisible trap field and a per-IP submission limit, and neither of those puts anything in your browser.

The booking and gift-card modules

The Reservations and Gift Nákar pages show a CoverManager module, which in turn loads its own services — Stripe among them, for gift-card payments. Those services set their own third-party cookies as soon as the module loads, and they are outside our control.

That is why the module does not load on its own: you will see a notice with a Load the module button, and until you press it no request reaches CoverManager and none of its cookies are set. Your “Third-party modules” is a category separate from analytics: you can book a table without accepting analytics, and the other way round.

If you would rather not load it, those same pages give you the booking phone number and a link to open the module directly on CoverManager’s site, where their own policy applies.

How to accept, reject or change your choice

In the notice, the first time you visit: Reject or Accept, both at the same level and the same size. Configure opens the panel to decide category by category.
Afterwards, from Cookie settings in the footer of any page. The panel tells you what you decided and when, and lets you change it.
From your browser, by clearing this site’s data. Rejecting analytics does not affect how the site works.

If you withdraw consent for analytics, we delete any _ga cookies already set: stopping at “no new cookies” is not enough.

How long your choice lasts

Your choice expires after a year and we ask again. We also ask again if the cookies we use or their purpose change: consent given about something else does not cover the new thing.

If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal (Sec-GPC), we treat it as a refusal: you are not shown the notice and analytics is never switched on.
